Still no Bottle ????

So we are almost finished with the second full week of having NO BOTTLE. It has been a bit trying the past two weeks. The first couple of days he did okay but not the greatest and I thought it would get better over time and it has actually gotten worse. His whole personality has changed since we took the bottle away. He has always been so mellow, calm and soooo happy. He is really whiney, grouchy, says NO to everythinga nd just doesn't want to drink ANYTHING -- no milk, water, juice. We've tried it all. I've tried to be creative. Yesterday during the day, he had maybe one ounce of fluid...how do I get him to drink (any suggestions)?? Today I went to the store and got a ton of stuff...chocolate milk, straws, new cups, water bottles, juice boxes (two which are in his hands since he thinks it is cool to drink with a straw) and hopefully SOMETHING will work today. Here goes to a weekend of being creative in getting him to drink!

I'm not much help. When I took the bottle away it was a pretty smooth transition. The one thing that did help alot is really neat cups, but it seems you've tried that. Sorry, but time will help, he has to drink sooner or later :)

That is so hard! When I took the bottle from Tryn at 12 mo - she refused any milk until 20 months. IT is so frustrating, but it gets better. Straws, cool cups, mom/daddy's cups, etc. always helped her to drink better. Also, she loved to munch on ice chips. Good luck :)

Looks like he did a lot better yesterday with Caprisuns! You can borrow Abbie to tell him how cool it is to drink out of juiceboxes!

I wish Nya will use a cup for her milk, since she was still on formula until a few days ago she was still on a bottle...now is going to be really hard to change it! Anyway, good luck with that cute little one and keep trying!
