Easter 2009

Even though the holiday of Easter has gotten quite commercialized and is a lot of fun, I am glad that it is on Sunday so that we can attend church and remember the real reason we celebrate Easter. I am grateful for Christ and his resurrection and his love for each of us! Easter Sunday 2009 We took Boston to Walmart on Saturday and the Easter Bunny happened to be visiting while we were there. He wasn't much of a fan of Santa so we were kind of worried. Nick asked him if he wanted to sit on the Easter Bunny's lap. His response..."Okay". So we sat him on his lap and he just cuddled with the Easter Bunny. They took some pictures and allowed us to take some pics. Then we tried to get him off his lap and that was a fight. He kept telling us NO and just continued to cuddle on his lap. Nick told him that we were leaving and we both started to walk away. He looked up, waved and told us bye-bye. He wanted to stay there - it was so cute! Saturday we took Boston to the annual easter egg hunt in Vernal. I have to say we were a bit disappointed. They had hard-boiled eggs for the kids rather than the plastic ones filled with goodies. There were maybe 40 eggs in his age division and around 100+ kids so there were many kids that left very SAD. Boston gave his eggs away to those kids who didn't get any (what a sweet little guy). Playing at the park with Logan Each year we have an Easter picnic and this year we went to Split Mountain (that is usually where we go). My mom and others were bound and determined to go up there ... and yes it was raining (thus the reason for the winter coats and hats). HEHE It finally did clear up and we had a really good time. We love family traditions! Looks more like a funeral than a picnic...
