Weekend at the Cabin

This was suppose to be our annual Scott-Nelson backpacking trip to the Uintas. As time got closer...the weather didn't look like it was going to cooperate. We were willing to accept some rain but not a downpour each day with loads and loads of hail so we decided to bag the Uintas (we are soooo glad that we did). We went to the Scott cabin for the weekend (Friday through Sunday) and had a really good time. The Nelsons joined us as well as my brother and Amanda. We were able to stay somewhat dry and when we got poured on, we had a dry place to go and get warm. We played games, watched movies, fished a ton (Hidden Lake and Smith & Morehouse which I had never been to and it was BEAUTIFUL). Boston and Sydney played together and we ate well for the weeekend! Thanks everyone for such a fun trip!! Here are just a few pics from the trip! Boston at the cabin ... this kid LOVES the outdoors just like his daddy Jordan, Amanda and Boston going to Smith & Morehouse Lake Boston at Hidden Lake Boston and Daddy at the Weber River...it was roaring too high to fly fish but great for rock throwing! Nick at Smith & Morehouse Lake... one last cast before we went home ... GOT ONE! Brandon and Nick at Hidden Lake trying to see who would catch the first one .... and the biggest and the most!! So many fish were caught we just stopped counting... Jordan patiently waiting for another fish...he tried a new lure and boy was he catching them. Nick and Boston fishing! Amanda and Nick at Smith & Morehouse This was my favorite part ... watching Boston reel in his first fish!!!! He loved it!

wow. Boston's fish was huge! Sounds like you all had a great time. When we get up there, I'm challenging Boston to a fish-off!
