Gingerbread Houses 2009

I know that I've been a slacker the last while with the blog. Besides the fact that I lost my camera battery charger (which has now been found), it's just a busy time of year trying to get everything done and get ready for a new baby. Our second baby boy is due in just 5 weeks (it's coming really really FAST ... too fast). I keep thinking to myself, am I ready for no sleep, etc. again? And Boston is NOT ready ... I think he enjoys the 100% attention and not ready to share that with a baby brother. I don't think he knows exactly what is about to happen yet. We got together with some friends over the weekend to make gingerbread houses. I think this is the 7th year Nick and I have made gingerbread houses together...and I think our house turned out the worst this year EVER (the reason there are no pictures of OUR house) but I did want to share everyone else's masterpieces. Boston and Abbie - can't you tell how much fun they are having making gingerbread houses... they had more fun watching the Grinch and playing in the love sac with their toys. We almost didn't put this picture up on the blog ... we'll give it to the Ericksons for creativity but the Y???? If you want to be invited back ... it'll have to be THE RICE ECCLES STADIUM guys!!! GO UTES!!!

I think the Johnasen's win for best one. That turned out really nice! I'm embarrassed to see ours on there. Thanks for the fun time, we'll have to all get together again soon.

I can't believe your baby is coming in just five weeks! Hopefully we'll get to meet him while we're up there. Have you decided on a name yet?

I love that you do gingerbread houses every year. It's a great holiday tradition. And the Y, that is so funny. I saw on facebook someone was asking for a recommendation on a white-elephant gift.... and someone else responded "anything BYU." I LOLed, and then someone else responded ticked off (y-fan), it's just hilarious! Anyways, sure hope your ankle is feeling better. Good luck getting ready for the baby boy, can we do anything for you???
