Friday was a crazy busy day ... preschool party and program, Gardner Village, then we went to Nick's work to trick-or-treat around the halls of Advanced MD, then met up with the Ericsons to go to our neighborhood trunk or treat, then to IHOP for dinner (free crazy face pancakes for the kids). Then Saturday, we got in the car and drove to Vernal for Grandpa Gary and Grandma Julie to see the kids. We carved some more pumpkins. My sister had a HUGE pumpkin they grew at my grandparents house that I helped her carve. I helped Boston and we carved a funny face pumpkin and Nick carved a U pumpkin. They then took us to a fantastic train in Vernal to ride. This guy built a train in his yard and pastures for the kids ... it was amazing to see all his hard work. He didn't charge anything for the kids to ride on it. Our only regret is that we didn't get there earlier for the kids to ride it more than once. They also had cookies and hot chocolate for the kids. It was so much fun! That train can hold a lot of weight ... the engine alone weighs 650 pounds the conductor said. Then on the train for our ride was the conductor, me, Boston, Grayson, Mike, Nick, Alexis, my dad, and a few other kids ... it was soooo much fun. Afterwards, we took the kids to my Grandma's church to do some more trick or treating. They had a carnival set up in the gym for the kids to go around and gather candy. We then visited some family and trick or treated at their homes and ended at my parents house to get some candy in their circle. Next we enjoyed some broccoli cheese soup in the famous Great Harvest pumpkin looking breadbowls, some witches brew (homemade root beer), skeleton and brains (dip and veggies), and lots of good snacks. We had a great Halloween. Boston loved his train conductor outfit this year and in fact, he continues to ask me each morning, if he can be a conductor today. The conductor especially thought it was cool to be able to ride3 on the train... and toot his wooden whistle ... he was in heaven!!! Grayson and Boston both LOVE trains and it was fun to see them on the ride (you'll have to check out the videos and see for yourselves... HAPPY HALLOWEEN 2010!!
