Thanksgiving 2011 in St. George

I love this time of year ... the holidays are wonderful for spending time with family and reflecting on the things that really mean the most to us.  I am so grateful for my family as well as Nick's family and all the support they show to our family.  I am also so grateful for a loving husband who works so hard to support our family and provide all the things we need/want.  I'm thankful for his contagious laugh and love for life.  I am also grateful for the two little boys that we have and am grateful for the Lord allowing them to come to our home... I love their smiles, giggles, and their loving, innocent, and kind personalites.  The thing I love the most are their hugs and kisses every single day!!  They both give us kisses and tell us how much they love us every day and it never gets old!!!  They both teach me different things and make me feel like the luckiest mom in the world.  They are wonderful and I am grateful for all of my blessings!!!

It was our turn to be with Nick's family for Thanksgiving so we joined his parents, Rylee & Blake, Whitney, Eddie and Sadie, Gpa & Gma Davis, Gma Scott, Uncle Steve, Aunt Cathy, Hailee, Jonathan, Rachelle & Dalton for Thanksgiving at the Davis residence.  We went down late Wednesday night. Thursday morning early started the traditional turkey bowl that Nick could not miss.  The Scott and Miller clan played football and were all on a team.

Afterwards, we met the guys and enjoyed some smoothies from Orange Peel (one of Rylee's favorite places).  We visited the Orange Peel a few times this ast weekend.  Easton and Boston loved it too.

We had a great Thanksgiving dinner (turkey, potatoes and gravy, stuffing, rolls, green beans, yams, this cute fruit turkey that Rylee made, Steve's famous turkey-bacon water chestnuts covered in brown sugar, among other things.  Then we topped it off with some pumpkin and apple pie.  MMMM

After pie, we played some Taboo and had a blast!!

Friday, the boys went golfing at Coral Canyon while the girls took the kids to Santa's Workshop at the Dixie Center.  After the guys were finished golfing, they kindly agreed to watch all the kids durig the U game.  They took the kids swimming, played on the playground, bathed and fed them while the girls did some major shopping!!

Saturday the boys returned to golf some more at Coral Canyon so the girls and grandparents took the kids to the Dixie Rock to play around.  The kids loved running around and trying to find caves (holes) in the rocks.

After golfing Saturday, Nick spent a little bit with his Grandma Scott doing some fly fishing at the pond near her house.  They did pretty good - they caught about 3 or 4 fish in about 1/2 hour to an hour before the dark made them stop.  Then we grabbed some dinner and took the kids to The Muppets (which they loved...they were singing and dancing the entire time the movie was playing).
