Backpacking the Uintas

This are pictures from our annual Scott/Nelson backpacking trip to the Uintas. The girls missed last year because we were pregnant but here we are again this year and boy was it fun! The girls decided to maybe try the trip in July rather than June so there wasn't any snow. The weather was perfect (but less fishing and more people). This is our perfect camp site (open the tent door and a beautiful lake right in front of you). Nick fishing at North Erickson East Shingle Creek Lake - this is our usual campsite - we tried somewhere new this year. We found lots of scouts and some annoying college guys at the other lake. This is what we saw in the evening - beautiful sunset 3 1/2 years and still so in love....even after so many crazy adventures...

Three fish so far ... keep going! The Nelsons and Nick fishing at North Erickson. Nice try ... cute but small...where's the daddy fish? Fishing at South Erickson... Thanks Brandon and Jodi - we had a blast!! We're planning next year's trip already. I know what's on your christmas list ... backpacks, camping stove, etc.
