Our Family of Raccoons

A few weeks ago, our neighbors said they've noticed when they go to work really early in the morning a couple of times that we have some raccoons in our yard. We have never seen them so didn't think too much about them. About two weeks ago when Nick went to water the back yard, and saw some green flourescent eyes staring at him. He quickly ran into the house. We called the City and they gave us a trap to try and trap them. The first night we caught our neighbors cat. We let him out and tried again. Last night when Nick went outside again, he saw three sets of green eyes staring at him from our canal that runs along the south side of our property. I ran out to finally see for myself. Shortly after, two more sets of green eyes followed (mom and dad raccoon). They run fast and the City said they are very mean. They suggested we don't go outside at night unless we have a broom or a shovel. Well we set the trap with an apple and peanut butter last night and this is our friend we caught. One down and we think four more to go...

Nick and Kesha... Our family has been dealing with three racoons for about 5 months now... Here is part of the story if you need some clues on how to get rid of them... Warning, they are smart... VERY smart! Travis just barely caught the mom about a week ago... So, I wish you both the best of luck! Here is his story... http://www.cookclan.com/wordpress/index.php?p=97

Yea they are mean! "Don't go outside without a shovel or broom" - that is hilarious and enough to keep me inside. I hope you get them...what do they do to them??
