We have been going to the library every week or every other week to check out books and movies (the boys love to go there). This past month, we went to a puppet show, a storytime/singing time, and then just went and read books by ourselves. This captures Boston's love for his brother. They both enjoy trains and checking out Thomas books/movies. They had to take their trains with us to the library and then Boston found a Thomas book to read to Easton. As soon as we walk through the doors of the library, Boston always whispers to Easton....shhhh - we have to use our 'library voices'. Love them!
We love reading books at night. I think I could probably count on my hand the number of times we've missed reading a story at night before bedtime. I love that time at night when my kids are ready for bed and it's time for storytime. It is our special time that we lay in bed, read a story and the kids open up and talk and tell us about their day and what's on their mind. Then mom gets to go into her bed and read her books (at the moment, I'm on the third and final book of the Hunger Games and have loved them)!
