This year for the 4th of July, we went up to Park City with Nick's family and watched the annual 4th of July parade there. The boys enjoyed swimming at the Marriott (outdoor) and Sweetwater (indoor) pools. We watched the firework show at Park City Mountain Resort that night and stayed the night. The next day we met up at Rockport Lake and spent the day on the beach. We didn't do much boating at all that day even though it wasn't that crowded. The kids had sand castle makers, pails, and shovels. We spent the day on the beach making sand castles, a turtle, swimming in the lake, and eating lunch. Later that night we headed back and did some MORE swimming. (Yes, the swimming lessons have paid off finally) Wahoo!! It was a fun day on the lake (minus the last hour). A storm was coming, we couldn't find the flag to let the kids on the tube after we had spent an hour working with the tube and finally getting it to blow up. We pulled an empty tube back to the dock while Spencer and Payten were both screaming, kids bawling, waves coming, etc. Luckily Brad had met us up there later in the midst of our chaos and helped Nick unload and clean the boat out and deflate the tube. The next day, Nick and I (and Payten) joined Rylee and Blake at the Oakley Rodeo. Being from Vernal, you would think that I have been to a rodeo but at 35 years old, I can now say that I've finally been to a rodeo. It was fun to see all the events and I would love to go to another one. I was a little worried about Payten that night because it was raining and we were all a little soaked but she seemed to do fine. The boys stayed behind to watch Despicable Me 2 with Grandma but it was sold out so they rented RedBox and watched movies at the condo and had popcorn. We also did the Alpine Slide and Coaster and had dinner at Baja Cantina ... Let Freedom Ring!
