Rockport Camping / Boating - July 26-27, 2013

This last weekend, we decided to take on an adventure and take all three camping up to Rockport where we have the boat stored.  We went up on Friday evening when Nick got home from work.  We set up camp.  We also found out that Rylee and Blake had booked a campspot up there (at the campsite just down the road from us) so we took our dinners over to cook at their campsite and had dinner and s'mores with them.  We came back and the boys couldn't wait to sleep in the tent.  They had been playing in it all evening.  Boston and Easton laid down on their pillows and kept saying, "This is the most comfortable bed ever." "Oh, don't you think this is comfy?"  and "this is so nice and relaxing and soft" so they went to sleep really quickly.  Payten, on the other hand, realized it was just another night and decided to keep us all awake (she didn't do any better or worse than she has been doing at home).  This little girl is so happy during the day but at night ... so cranky and awake a LOT!!!  She was up probably 3-4 times during the middle of the night but sometimes lately it is 6-7 times a night.  I'm getting worn out with this lack of sleep!!

The boys slept great all night and had a blast in the morning.  We ate breakfast and just relaxed at our campsite for a bit.  Nick and the boys went on a walk to the lake/beach while Payten and I stayed at camp.  It started to rain so we decided to hold off on the lake.  We went and played at the beach for a bit while Nick went fly fishing at the river.  That afternoon, our friends, the Schwaneveldts, came up and we went boating.  It was overcast and began to rain.  We did some boating and beached it for a bit while the kids played in the sand (mud) and moms stayed with the babies on the boat and dads played horse shoes.  They have a 3 week old cute little baby.  It was an adventure but we had fun.
