I enjoy getting on Pinterest on the internet and finding good recipes, parenting tips, etc. I pin a lot and like to think I use some of the pins that I spend time pinning. This was a pin that I found - Battlecreek Falls hike near Pleasant Grove, Utah. It connects to a big loop hike that extends about 8 miles I think it said. The hike is 1.8 miles round trip to the big waterfall. We hiked to the big waterfall and then another ways to see a few smaller waterfalls. We could see a great view of Utah Lake and the city from up there - fun hike and great for kids. It was fun doing a hike that none of us had been on before. (Nick seems to have done every hike known to man so it was fun to find one that he had never been on)! ;) Thanks Pinterest! That started out my Mothers Day weekend. That morning, we went to the gym together, then drove to Pleasant Grove and stopped to eat at the Purple Turtle in PG (I use to go a lot when I was a little girl when we would come out to visit my Great Grandma in American Fork). Then we went on our hike. I got a babysitter for the night while Nick and I went on a much needed DATE (dinner at Five Alls Restaurant ... yummy and then to Draft Day movie at the Gateway). Sunday, Nick made pancakes and buttermilk syrup, ham and fruit for us and his parents. We went to church then to dinner with Great Gma Davis and Gma Kathy. Boston made me the cutest pillowcase with our entire family on it. He asked if our whole family could share it and take turns putting the pillowcase on each of our pillows. Then Easton made me a bookmark with his picture and colored a picture for me. I loved getting their little homemade gifts - so precious! Payten just showered me with her smiles and kisses yesterday! I am lucky to be a mom to three wonderful little munchkins whom I adore! I am thankful for my own mother who set and continues to set a perfect example of love and service to her children! I am glad that we are mother/daughter but also great friends who talk every day! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY 2014
