We took a trip to Disneyland/beach in California with my family September 6-13, 2014. We had a great time. We flew in on Saturday and Nick and I took the boys to Disneyland while my family went to the Bodies Exhibit. The next day, we stopped at Newport Beach and my family went to a park. We tried to meet up and ended up getting lost and not meeting up - they went to Angels Stadium, Hollywood Stars, and Griffith Park. We went to Griffith Park but entered on the opposite side and ended up at the The Griffith Park Observatory and went into the Samuel Oschin Planetarium. Boston was in heaven looking through all the telescopes and seeing how much we weigh on different planets (let's just say I want to go to Mars ... I think I weighed 50 pounds on Mars versus Jupiter at a whopping 200 or 300 pounds!
The next two days we spent at California Adventure and Disneyland riding rides and playing in the parks - we were all worn out by the end of the days. We had a great time though.
Boston's favorite ride: Matterhorn and Space Mountain - Disneyland
Easton's favorite ride: The Cars Ride - California Adventures
Payten's favorite ride: It's a Small World - Disneyland
We stayed at the Park Vue Inn across the street - great location and free hot breakfast each morning! We had lunch when we landed at Denny's near our hotel (and the kids all got some Disney balloons) before going our separate ways the first day.
Newport Beach - Payten starting walking at the beach - must have loved the soft sand on her feeties!
The boys enjoyed collecting sea shells on the beach

Eating on the curb on our way to San Diego around midnight ... :)
We then drove to San Diego and stayed at Del Mar Beach on Camp Pendleton for the remainder of our trip. We loved the beach - it was clean, soft sand and fun waves. We did a little relaxing, body boarding, paddle boarding, chatting, walking along the beach and collecting lots of seashells.
My sister Alexis and her hubby Mike celebrated their 10 year anniversary while we were done there! Congrats Mike & Lex :)
My sister Taylor and her boyfriend Cory got engaged while at the beach - they are engaged to be married in the Vernal Temple on November 14th - so excited for both of them!! He still proposed even after spending a few days with us all in California!! :) we must not have scared him away! Congrats guys!
Payten loved loved loved walking on the beach holding daddy's hand

On our way to the airport, we stopped off at the San Diego Temple
Then stopped off at Old Town San Diego for a bite to eat at the Tequila Factory before heading home
I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL THE NEXT TRIP!!!
