Hogle Zoo

Adjusting to three has been a difficult one for me.  I am sure things will change as the newborn stage wears off but I prefer to stay inside and not have to go out.  With two other kids (preschool, swim lessons, tball practice/games, etc. don't really allow us to stay inside) but we had been cooped up inside so I thought it would be good to go on an 'outing' for the boys to get out of the house and play.  A couple of weeks ago, we joined Whitney, Sadie, and Spencer at the zoo (along with everyone else in the valley I think).  I could not believe how many people were there.  The lines in the front and back of the zoo were so long just to get into the zoo.  It was the first nice day and I think everyone thought just like we did ... perfect day for the zoo.  Once inside the zoo, the kids started saying they were hungry.  I couldn't pack a lunch that day because we had a house showing in the morning so we ate at the zoo.  We waited in line for over 45 minutes just to get our food.  It was a chaotic day with hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of people, baby Payten was not happy to be there either, and a stressed out mom.  WOW - crazy!!! The kids just wanted to run around and play and did not even care about the zoo animals at all.  Oh well ... we tried !  I'm sure one day I'll look back and realize THREE isn't bad!
