Cabin Trip with Bertolas - Feb 8-9

Last weekend, we packed up and went to the cabin with Shay & Amy and their boys.  Amy and I were college roommates and haven't been great at keeping in touch other than yearly christmas cards and seeing each other every so often at Seven Peaks, the softball field, etc.  We decided to get our kids together and head up the mountain on that very snowy weekend.  The boys all got along so well.  Her kids ages are 8, 6, and 4.  We have 6, 4 and 1 now.  The snow was great.  Saturday it snowed and snowed and snowed.  Sunday it was more rain than snow.  Nick and Shay went on a ride together and they looked like they had gone swimming rather than snowmobiling ... soaking WET!!  We played some games, watched movies, ate lots of food, and played in the SNOW SNOW SNOW!! The boys loved sledding and snowmobiling.  As we were leaving, Shay and Amy got their van stuck and we had to push them out of the parking lot.  We had a great time together. 

Sunday Payten turned ONE!  We celebrated on Monday night with family.  Nick said that he asked Payten what she wanted to do for her birthday and supposedly she told him that she wanted to spend it at the cabin ;)  uh-huh!
