St George - Valentines and Presidents Weekend 2014

Friday Valentines night - left Salt Lake around 9 pm (had some trouble with the truck and had to have it repaired before we could take off).  We got to St. George around 2 a.m.  We stayed with some friends in St. George this time (the Brocks).

Saturday:  It was not the weather we were anticipating (warmer than Salt Lake had been but cooler than what we wanted). It was 60 and cloudy so the first day we we spent the day with the Brocks and visited the new children's museum in St. George (free admission but encouraged to donate).  The boys loved the museum and we didn't even get to go in all the rooms.  We went to Sand Hollow to play in the sand and play ball on the beach (too cold for the water).  We did some swimming at Gma Scott's warm indoor pool.

Sunday:  Went for a bike ride in the SUN and 73 degree weather!!  It felt so good.  We had a picnic at the end of our bike ride.  We stopped at a new park (Hidden Valley Park) to play on the swings and the playground before we headed to Grandma Scott's and spent some time with her at her place that day.

Monday:  Spent the day in Snow Canyon with Eliza and Wesley (Danny had to work).  We hiked to Johnson Arch (a favorite for us with the kids).  It is a 2 mile round trip hike to a slot canyon.  The boys enjoy the soft sand to play in so we made our way to the sand dunes after that to play in more sand.  They ran and jumped and sand went EVERYWHERE!!  Their favorite part of the trip was the sand dunes!!!

Now I have some spring fever after spending the weekend in the sun!!
