Well we moved out of our house in Sandy last May before Memorial weekend. We moved into the basement at Nick's parent's house while we searched for a house. We never imaged building - we just looked and looked and looked and looked and looked and looked ... and then looked some more. I can't even tell you how many hundreds of homes we walked through. We decided that what we wanted and the cost of building was the same so we started looking at build projects. We found the perfect lot and signed our life away. The house is in South Jordan and is being built now. The builders had started the home already when we signed the contract so we were unable to pick the plan for the home (we would have chosen differently but we have made some changes that we are happy with). There have been a few hiccups and we debated walking from the home at one point with approval from the builder because of some mistakes they had made on the garage. We have since fixed some and the house is coming along so nice and we are getting more and more excited to see the finished project. I hear everyday how excited they are to get their toys out of storage (especially their Batman stuff). It will be like Christmas all over again when they get their toys out. The boys are ready to have their toys that we packed up and put in storage. We have lived with our clothes, some toys, the boys' beds and the rest of our home is packed away in storage. We picked out colors, cabinets, flooring, etc. and agreed upon almost everything - wasn't too hard (other than the exterior of the home). I feel like I can pick colors that match but it is hard to see the whole picture from just a few samples of materials or swatches. We are suppose to move in sometime in June. The boys have loved living at Grandpa & Grandma's house. We put Boston in kindergarten in their neighborhood and it has been a great school for him this year. Next year looks like we will transition to year-round school in the Jordan School District (not sure I'll love it but we will see how that goes). We are very excited for the move and sure that Nick's parents are even more thrilled when our house is finished so they can have
their home back. We are grateful they let us stay here for that long of time and shared their home with us. The home just got finished framing, the duct work was finished last weekend, tubs are being put in, fireplace insert is in, doors and windows are being put in, and the electrical work is being put in today and tomorrow. The four-way walk-through will be done next week so they can sign off and begin sheetrocking. We are excited to start get in our new home and make new friends and neighbors!

Yay so exciting!! Keep posting pics of the progress!
Exciting house stuff! I have really liked year round school. I like the breaks during the year and you still get a summer break too.
