Girls Weekend / Daddy-Kid Weekend

This past weekend, I went to Wendover with Kathy, Rylee and Whitney.  We went to the Peppermill concert hall to watch the Fab 4 (performed all Beatles songs).  They first came out as the younger Beatles then later changed costumes.  They gave a tribute to John Lennon about love and peace and the lead sang Imagine (my favorite of the concert).  It was a fun concert.  We ate at the seafood buffet, went to the concert and played a little penny poker for a bit and stayed up talking late.  The next morning, we slept in, went to the gym, had brunch and played 21 for a bit before heading out.

While I was gone, Taylor watched the kids until Nick could get home from work.  Then Nick had all three kids.  They went to Chick-Fil-A and hung out at home watching a movie and sleeping out in the living room together.  Next morning, dad cooked a hot breakfast and they headed out to hike to Olympus Falls. I was mighty impressed he took all three kids hiking!  In fact, when I got home, Easton told me that I could go back if I wanted for one more night so they could spend more time with dad - sounded like everyone had a great time all around.  Nick said the kids LOVED the Olympus Falls Trail.

Looks like a lot of fun all around! So glad you could get away, Kesh, and so glad Nick and the kids had a great time holding down the fort. One more day of him being gone, and he would have been toast ;0) Love you guys!
