Echo Park - August 16, 2014

This past weekend, I took the kids to visit my family in Vernal.  We went to Echo Park to play in the Green River.  We went rafting and floating in the Green (at first Boston told me he did NOT like to swim in rivers or lakes ... yes the Green River looks like pure chocolate milk) but it sure was fun.  He didn't attempt the lake for a bit until his cousin Grayson persuaded him to get in and swim and then they loved it and played the rest of the afternoon in the water and on the shores with buckets.  My sister's dog Burley loved the water the most.  We thought he was going to drown from exhaustion from playing in it.  We had some dutch oven chicken and potatoes and played until the sun went down - we packed up in the dark and headed home.  What a fun weekend at a beautiful place!!

Trying to find bugs for his new bug land contraption he got for his birthday .. all they could find were fire ants - that was fun until he got bit from one on his neck (crawled all the way up him and bit him)
