Labor Day Weekend - Day 1 - Meadow Hot Springs

Saturday morning, we got in the car and started heading south with our neighbors in our new neighborhood (the Hansens - Chris, Jodi, Jordan (16), Caden (6) and Corbin (4)).  We had a fun weekend getting to know each other better.  Our first stop was just south of Fillmore in Meadow ... Meadow Hot Springs.  There were three hot pots (the first two weren't that hot) but the kids jumped in.  The first one had some tropical fish that someone had put in there that were quite large which scared the kids because they could see these fish swimming around them.  They got the fishing net and tried catching some of the little fish. Payten didn't have any issues with them - she went right in the water and swam out to the middle without anyone!  The last hot pot was the favorite - it was a perfect temperature and crystal clear.  It was 40' deep and amazing to see down into it.  It is out in the middle of some fields.  Beautiful.  The kids did not want to leave.  We left and headed to Kanarraville to set up camp at the Red Ledges RV campsite.

Meadow Hot Springs:
Take the Meadow Exit 158 south of Fillmore on I-15.  Turn left at the stop sign and go under the freeway.  You will pass a Shell station on the right and be heading south.  Keep going south out of the town Meadow (about 1.5 miles) until you pass some buildings/homes on the left.  Shortly after, you will see a well graded dirt road on the right.  This road will take you back over I-15.  You will see several roads heading off this main road, just stay on this road heading west until you get to a parking lot near a fence.  You can't miss it.  The spring is located about 150 yards from the parking area.
