Boston's birthday festivities

On Saturday, we rented a bounce house and double slide (thanks to Jerry) for Boston's birthday.  He was so excited when Jerry arrived and was setting it all up for us.  We put some kiddie pools outside and filled them up with water and had a pinata for the kids (Boston's favorite part next to opening his presents).  Boston went down the slide and bounced in the bounce house for a bit before anyone came to our house. One kids got there and started in, we couldn't get Boston to touch the slide or bouncehouse.  We could barely get him to get in the water.  The kids had an absolute ball with the activities outside.  Thanks to everyone for coming to celebrate Boston's 4th birthday.

This was the picture we used for his birthday invitation inviting everyone to the pool/bouncehouse party

Later that night, we went with the Johansens to La Costa for some dinner.  After dinner, we had them bring a couple of fried ice creams out for his birhday. They put a hat on him and had some ice cream.  They sang Happy Birthday and he attempted to blow out his candles.  He couldn't get them so he bent over and the flames caught his eyelashes and eyebrows and singed his LONG BEAUTIFUL eyelashes down half way on one corner (sniff sniff).  He then told Nick to blow the candle out for him.

On Sunday, he was so excited to go to Primary where they sang Happy Birthday to him and gave him a candy necklace.  After church, we loaded up the kids and went up to the cabin to have dinner with Grandma Scott and enjoy the cooler weather up there.  It rained a good part of the time we were up there but the cool weather felt really good.  It was really muddy up there but the kids enjoyed throwing rocks in the lake and Boston even got a few casts into the lake with his Lightning McQueen fishing pole (when he could get it away from his dad).  Happy Birthday little buddy!

This was after dad had the fishing pole for way too long.  Nick kept telling him, "okay it is all you."  Then he would reel again.  Finally Boston said, "Dad, if you said it was all me then why are you turning it again?  It is my turn."  So finally ... it was Boston's turn to do some fishing.  They were jumping all over but no fish that day.

On the way down from the lake back to the cabin, I had just taken those last pictures of Boston fishing with his pole and put my camera into my sweatshirt pocket (shallow pocket).  I put Easton in front of me and headed for the cabin in the dark.  When I got to the cabin, I got Easton off the four wheeler and felt in my pocket (No camera).  I take too many pictures and my heart sank to my feet when I realized that I had lost my camera somewhere from the lake to the cabin.  Nick and I left the boys at the cabin with Grandma while we took flashlights and the lights from the four wheelers and scaled the road looking for a black case in the black night.  We looked and looked and I just kept thinking of all the pictures of Boston's fourth birthday and all the pictures from who knows when was on my camera (and an extra chip in my case as well). I figured I had over 3,000 pictures between the two chips (possibly more and many videos that hadn't been uploaded to my computer).  I was sick!  I was determined to drive back up to the cabin the next day to search again in the daylight.  Grandma Scott went looking on the main road and couldn't find it.  Then Nick's Aunt Sharon went up in the afternoon and they both looked (in the pouring rain with their ponchos on) for my camera.  They found it in the middle of the trail fallen to the side in the bushes.  I can't believe they found it but I was sooooo thankful to have my camera back :)  Everyone knows how many pictures I take ;)  Thanks for finding my camera!!!!  These are some pictures of them looking for my camera (mud and all).
