HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY BOSTON!

Yesterday (July 31st) Boston turned 4 years old.  Where has the time gone?  I'm in denial that he is already four years old ... These past 4 years have flown by!  We love this little guy!  He is so sweet and tender-hearted.  He is always so concerned about everyone around him.  He wants to make sure everyone is happy.  He is my sweet little boy always telling me how good I look or how pretty a shirt or swimsuit is on me ... cute little boy!  The first thing Boston told me when he woke up and I said Happy Birthday to my little FOUR year old was, "Mom, now that I am four years old, I can do laundry now."  Well ... I guess I should teach him and have him do it while he is young and so willing, right?

Boston has always had a love for trains.  I thought the phase would fizzle but he is still in love with trains.  He enjoys being outside and playing with his Dad.  He has inherited his love of the outdoors from his dad - loves camping, fishing, hiking, (biking not so much yet), and playing baseball.  He also inherited his dance moves from his dad.  We will be driving down the car and he will start fist pumping in the car and dancing like crazy when he hears certain songs come on.  I love watching him bust a move and 'shake his bootie'.  He absolutely adores his little brother Easton (who follows him around constantly and is lost when Boston is not here).  They love to play trains, cars, run outside, wrestle each other on the love sac, and just hang out together.  They are great buddies.  Boston loves playing at the park and going down the slides and playing on the swings.  Boston is easily entertained, has a long attention span, and loves to watch movies (he would watch movies all day long if I would let him).  He is content with pretty much any show but his favorites right now are probably Cars, Thomas the Train (ugh - what were they thinking when they made this show), Jake and the Neverland Pirates and his ultimate favorite ... the Polar Express (yes he watches it in July)!

Boston knows all of his letters and can count to 30 and sometimes 50 if he is in the mood (skips the number 16 for some reason every time) but is getting there.   He loved attending preschool this last year with Mrs. King and can't wait for her 4 year old class to start back up again in September!  He has been taking swimming lessons this past summer (not a huge fan of water ... very timid) but is doing well at lessons currently.  Boston loves to cuddle!  He cannot go to sleep at night without a story and cuddle time - he has to have someone rub his back.  Boston is not a picky eater - he will eat pretty much anything.  In fact, his favorite thing when you ask him what he wants for dinner is either lobster, crab or shrimp.  Boy have we trained him right (or wrong)?  He is starting out with some expensive taste buds!  haha  A little habit that Boston has right now is that he loves to bite his nails (learned that from his Dad and Grandma Kathy).  He loves going places but sure loves coming back to his home after we've been gone somewhere.

He truly is my sweet little boy!  Boston, we love you and hope you had a very HAPPY 4TH BIRTHDAY!
