My sister Taylor came out last weekend to stay with us. We took her for Thai food (picky eater) hopefully she liked it. Saturday we got the boat ready and then by the time we got to the lake, the sky looked DARK!! We got on the boat. From the time the Nelsons got out of the car and down to the dock for us to pick them up, we decided there was way too much lightning to head out onto the lake...so Brandon went and got the truck and we pulled the boat out of the water. Taylor had a good boat ride before she had to head for home. The rest of us stuck it out in the parking lot and waited for the wind and lightning to die down and then we tried it again. I'm glad we did - we enjoyed a great night on the lake (and pretty much to ourselves because everyone left when it started lightning). We had a long boat ride, Jodi and kids went for a dip in the cove, and then a few of us had a turn on the wake board and called it a night. By the time we put the boat in dry storage, got dinner and got home, it was close to midnight ... exhausted little kids for church the next day!! But it was a fun night on the lake with good friends and family!!
