Island Park with the Crystals - Day 1

Right after the 4th of July, we came home from Park City, unpacked and headed up to Island Park to visit the Crystals at their cabin.  We had a great weekend.  The first full day up there, we went to Island Park Reservoir and played around on the boat.  I did a little wake boarding and was in heaven.  The kids and us took turns on the new tube we bought and enjoyed Austin and Cassie's new boat on the lake.  At the lake, we had too many people on the boat so we took turns.  At the end, I took Boston and Easton and we got off the boat and walked around the campground site, went on a hike, and played at the boat dock waiting for everyone to return from their fun.  When they finally returned, Easton saw Nick on the boat and began running full speed down the gravel boat ramp and his head was the first that touched the ground and then skidded across the pavement.  Unfortunately, he had a big ouchy on his forehead (he has since picked the scab off and it is white where the scab was on top of his tan little forehead).  We went back to the cabin that night and roasted hot dogs around the campfire.  While the Crystal kids were getting ready for bed, we ran to Mack's Inn to do a little fishing off the dock.  Our first fish we caught was about an inch or two long (tiny little thing).  We caught a few that night and the boys loved just throwing their line in and watching it in the river.  Austin had a friend come up with his four kids so that night we all went back and went to sleep ... that night FIVE adults and TEN kids in ONE LOFT!!
