Island Park with the Crystals - Day 2 and 3

The second day in Island Park, we took a canoe and some rafts and floated the river near Big Springs down to Mack's Inn.  We had a great time floating the river.  Boston still doesn't love the water so any splashing or water on him made him so mad.  Easton on the other side was dangling his legs out the side of the boat nearly falling every time he reached down to 'touch the water.'  It took us about 3 hours but it was such a beautiful float.  We even passed a huge moose who came in the water near us to get a drink.  I could not believe how many people were floating the river that day (it was sooooo crowded). I think everyone in Idaho decided to join us that day!  That evening, my brother and Amanda came up from Blackfoot and stayed the night.  Before we went in, we all went for a four wheeler ride (LONG ONE) and had fun on the trails up there.  I remember taking my dirt bike (before kids) up to Island Park to Austin's cabin quite a few years ago and LOVED riding my bike up on those trails there.  I haven't seen my brother for quite a long time so it was fun to have him come and join us.  We had Pizza at the pizza place near Mack's Inn.  It was a long wait but great time to catch up with "Uncle Jordan" for the boys.  Boston enjoyed showing him all the games on my phone (helped keep him entertained for our long awaited salad and pizza).  That night Amanda and Jordan stayed the night so we had 6 adults and 6 kids up in the loft.  The next morning, Jordan, Nick, and Austin got up around 6 am to float from the Island Park Reservoir down to Anglers Inn - they were gone for quite a few hours but said they had fun and caught some fish.  Then it was time to clean up, pack up, and head back to Utah.  Fun times in Island Park!!

Look how busy the river is ....

We kept throwing the line in from Boston's Lightning McQueen fishing pole and caught lots of fish (mostly small but one good-sized one) all the way to where the boat pull out

Yes, Boston fell asleep on our four wheeler ride

I'm not sure if he is resting, napping or praying in the tire swing but I loved his peaceful expression

Jordan attempting the rope swing ... he touched bottom after banging into the tote
