Zermatt+ Midway + Swiss Days = Labor Day Weekend 2012

Labor Day weekend, we went up with Nick's parents and rented a Villa at Zermatt up in Midway.  We went Friday night after Nick got off work late.  Saturday morning we woke up and went to the Swiss Days parade (the boys loved it because it is the only parade we've been to this year that has CANDY and it had a lot of candy thrown).  They had approximately 100+ entries in the parade and I think every other entry or every third entry had candy they were handing out.  After the parade, we went and walked around Swiss Days.  Yes this was the first "girly" purchase I made for the upcoming baby.  I had to buy a little gray ruffle skirt and two headbands for her.  Nick and his dad took the boys to the bounce houses and then to the condo to swim while Kathy and I walked around and did more shopping at all the booths there.  We had lunch at the Store.  We went back to the condo.  Eddie, Whitney, Sadie and Spencer came up to join for a night/day.  Kathy and I went back to Swiss Days and walked around while Nick took the boys and Sadie to the carousel, swim, and feed the goats.  That night we had a spaghetti dinner at the condo and the kids all crashed early (we wore them out).  The next day we walked around the Homestead and saw the hot pots, played at a playground, played some miniature golf and life size chess at Zermatt.  Monday morning Nick went fly fishing early and he had a blast!!  We checked out of Zermatt and went to Heber to the Heber Valley Railroad for the boys to look at the trains.  Both boys still really like trains and they were in heaven.  On our way home, we stopped off at Deer Creek and went for a cruise, had a late lunch on the lake and swam for a bit in the water.  Last official summer holiday!
