Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve we woke up and got ready and met most of Nick's family at the Seven Peaks Sandy Fun Center to do a little bowling.   We had a little wait at the beginning but then finally got to bowl.  With three little kids and a lane that kept breaking down, it definitely took quite awhile to finish one game of family bowling.  In the second or third frame, we talked Great-Grandma Davis into doing a little bowling ... she ended up falling on her face and really hurt her shoulder (bad idea on our part).  That ended her bowling for the day and we hope that her shoulder heals soon.

This is the famous fall of the day ... Great Grandma Davis just beginning to fall onto the lane

Can you tell which is real?  Rylee looks so cute with a bowling ball ... My bowling ball is HUGE!!!!!

After bowling we walked out to a winter wonderland.  There was so much snow on the valley floor.  We raced home to get things ready and finish up some last minute stuff.  Then we went to Nick's parents house for our Christmas Eve night.  This year we didn't go to the lights.  They checked Nick's grandpa out of the Rehab Center at Aspen Ridge and we had a yummy Christmas Eve soup dinner together.  Then Kathy read the Christmas story and the kids re-enacted the story by dressing up.  Easton refused to put a costume on this year but Sadie and Boston were Mary and Joseph.  Spencer was coerced into being the donkey.  We did our gift exchange and the kids were very happy.  We went home and Nick and I spent until 4:30 am getting ready for Christmas morning.  Good thing Santa came between the time we went to bed and 10 am when the kids decided to roll out of bed ;)  Boston was extremely excited for the magic of Christmas this year.  Dad helped him bake cookies to set out, put reindeer food outside, wrote his letter to Santa and then dad helped them get into their beds to fall asleep and wait for Santa...so much anticipation this year!!
