This year was our year to spend Christmas with Nick's side of the family so we went to Vernal before Christmas. It was too fast of a trip for me but we got to see everyone (except we missed my brother Jordan in Idaho). Nick had taken Friday off work but ended up having to go in until around 1:30 that afternoon. We packed up and headed to Vernal. We pulled into Vernal around 7 pm and went straight to my Grandma Walker's house for dinner and opening presents with my mom's side of the family. Saturday we woke up and went to my dad's work christmas party ... movie with free popcorn and drinks at the movie theatre. They had 3 movies playing and we chose Arthur Christmas to watch again this year. The boys loved the popcorn and watching movies. We ate at a taco cart place in Vernal (yummy)! Nick took the boys to Jump N' Jive (bounce house place) while I finished up some last minute shopping with my mom. We went home and got things ready for my dad's side of the family party (the Monsens). We had dinner and then a special visitor (Santa) showed up. He read the story of the Polar Express to all the kids that ended up coming and then the kids got to sit up on his knee and he gave them each a bell from the Polar Express story. Sunday we woke up and went to church with my family and then opened presents and spent the afternoon with my immediate family (minus Jordan who couldn't come home this Christmas). I love Christmas time and being able to spend time with my family.
