Get Away to the Chateaux in Deer Valley
Friday night I went up to Deer Valley and stayed at the Chateaux with the love of my life with no children (this is the 3rd year in a row that we've done this). We went up Friday night and had dinner at their Cena Ristorante at the hotel (it had rained so much that day that they had vacuumed up gallons of water off the roof so unfortunately it was so wet that we couldn't eat out on the patio like we normally do). We ate inside the restaurant and took our dessert to go. We went to the hot tub and stayed forever then went back to our room for our take-out dessert. We slept in the next morning, got up and went for a run around the trails near the ponds. Then we went on a bike ride up near the St. Regence. We took the Funicular up to the top and rode some single track down the mountain. Once we got down and to a parking lot, it was a down pour!!!! I've never seen so much water. We looked as though we had jumped in a pool and jumped out. Our clothes were SOPPING wet; we could barely see the road as the water pounded off our bike helmets and down our faces. We were laughing so hard by the time we both reached the truck - we had a BLAST! We went straight back to the hot tub in the rain then cleaned up and headed to Park City for some lunch and shopping at the Outlets. I love our date nights. I was just reading some material that said, "Daily life becomes so busy that time with your spouse can become routine and ordinary. Taking the time to go on a date will help you remember why you fell in love with your spouse in the first place. Enjoying each other’s company and soaking up the quality time spent together will strengthen your relationship." It was a good date night for us!!
