December Randoms

This is Payten at Primary Children's Hospital. Nick and I went on a date one night while Kathy watched the kids.  The boys went to bed.  Payten had just gone to bed when we returned home.  In the four hours, her breathing was slowed and she could hardly breathe.  It was so late that we opted to take her to Primary Children's.  They gave her a sterroid and we were on our merry way about 4 hours later.  She was so happy and smiling and playing with all the nurses that night there.

These are the kids decorating sugar cookies at the Dickens Festival.

We went over to the Hacketts and decorated gingerbread houses with the Hacketts and Ethingtons for family night.  The kids had a blast frosting and decorating their own.  We've done gingerbread houses for years as a Christmas tradition.  This year we carried on the tradition except the kids did their very own.

Another family night in December, we took the boys bowling at Olympus Lanes.

Payten loved the Christmas Tree and lights this year.  She is still not crawling or standing or walking.  She is very content to just sit where she is.  She will try to scoot a little like in this picture. I put her about a foot away from the tree.  When I returned to the room, she had the lights in her hand shaking them up and down.  She can scoot to items if they are near her but other than that, she has no desire to be mobile (that's alright by me for now).  She is also eating EVERYTHING on the floor she can find ... crumbs, paper, leftover food, toys, etc.  Whatever she finds, it goes in her mouth.  We try to keep things clean but she always seems to find something to put in her mouth and choke on.
