This year was our year to spend with Nick's family for Thanksgiving. We went to Thanksgiving with Whit's family, Ry & Blake, Brad & Kathy, Aunt Cathy & Uncle Steve & Hailee. We had a really good time down there. It wasn't as warm as it usually is in St. George but definitely warmer than Salt Lake. We had Thanksgiving dinner on that Thursday, Nick played in a turkey bowl with Blake and some others, had pie and games with Lynn & Sarah Carlquist, Grandma Scott, and all of us. That night Payten had a really really red bum (bleeding) so I roughed the early Black Friday crowds at Target that night. I waited in line for 2 hours for some Desitin. Kathy, Whit & Ry joined me and we did find a few other things but not sure it was worth the 2 hours for Desitin for her little bum. I got a great recipe for 'bum cream for babies' that seems to work GREAT on babies.
Diaper Cream - WORKS GREAT
1/2 cup Aquaphor (petroleum)
1/2 tube Desitin (zinc oxide)
1/4 tube Lotrimin (clotrimazole or any antigungal)
2-3 TBS Mylanta (antacid)
2 TBS corn starch
Mix together and store in air tight container.
Nick played some golf while I did some shopping and then took the kids to the Christmas Expo. We met Brett & Amie and went to dinner with them & their kids and went back for ice cream at their condo. The kids went swimming a couple of times and we went on a family bike ride near the river on the trail. Loved it!
I am so grateful for my little family and our extended family on both sides! That's what life is about and we love all our family and grateful for each of them in our lives. I'm grateful for Nick's job at ADP AdvancedMD, my job at BTJD, and our three healthy, happy, and beautiful Boston, Easton & Payten!!
